Date report ... HELP!?

I'm pretty sure taking a girl out to dinner on her birthday definitely counts as a date. And it sounds like it went well, but it was a little awkward, which makes sense since it was the second time you two were face to face. If you would like to pursue this, then you should offer to take her out again sometime soon man!
