Ok so my car is overheating why?

Can a dirty or faulty EGR valve cause overheating. My 2001 PT Cruiser is overheating but only on very hot days and when the air conditioning is on. Back flushed and pressure tested the radiator, changed the thermometer, fluid was low but doesn't seem to be loosing fluid since refilled. Check engine light came on and indicated poor air flow through the EGR valve. Is it worth replacing prior to pulling the radiator to check that for the problem with overheating? If you are breastfeeding I would just stick with that but if you are bottle feeding then water or diluted apple juice would be fine. Have a fan blowing on her and light clothing and sheets only. As for her temperature and fussing... you may just have to hold her arm down with the thermometer under her arm pit... she wont like it having the freedom of her arm taken away for a minute and she may scream louder :) poor little darling but what else can you do??? That's the only way you are going to get a reading unfortunately. Aside from medication... I used infants panadol... the best way to treat a temp is a bath. I have put my sick babies in the bath over and over throughout the day or night in attempts to bring their temp down and make them comfortable. Perhaps even a cool washer on her forehead or ice crushed in a washer to suck on... mine loved that when they were teething. I hope your poor little princess is well soon.

I dont know if there is a name for this, but i am really forgetful. Not like amnesia, though. For example, sometimes i will think of events that might've happened a few minutes ago, and i wonder if it actually happened. This can happen with normal events or unusual things. i could've been brushing my teeth a few minutes ago, and i will forget that i did it. I will wonder if i did. in this case, my fresh breath is the only thing that tells me i did, in fact brush my teeth. I get the feeling that I havent done it, that i can be sure i havent, but i have, and when i think back to that event a few minuets ago it seems like a distant memory that i cant remember. Also, if i am thinking of something that is bugging me at the moment (who said what, what is that called, etc) i never seem to be able to recall it. You need the first thermometer (digital probe thermometer).. That's actually the same I have. The warm end should be 90-95 floor temp. If it ends up too cold, that does not mean get a new light bulb. In fact, I would take the one you're currently using out too. Leopard gecko's heat "sensors" are on their belly, so they only can feel heat from the belly. If it's too hot over head, they can't feel that to know to get over to the cool side. They're also nocturnal, so regular bulbs aren't always the best idea during the day. If your temperature is too low, get a new heat mat that will cover 1/3 to 1/2 of the tank floor (if yours doesn't) , and it will be warmer. If you insist on a light, a red heat bulb (no UV or any of that expensive stuff.. And they can't see red.) over the warm hide should be okay, as long as the light isn't directly over the gecko's head.

My recruiter wants me to join Air Force DEP early? PLEASE READ?

Ok, I am in the summer before my senior year right now (17 years old) and for the past year and a half I have wanted to join the air force. Originally the Air Force Academy, but due to the low acceptance rate I am basing my decision on getting denied from that. So I have decided to enlist if I get declined and therefore been preparing. Now my recruiter has been calling me to come in and give him all the documents to sign me up for MEPS and then move into the Softbook Program until September and then move right into DEP 8 months before I would want to ship out! What I would prefer to do is wait to go to MEPS and move into DEP around November so I can be positive that this is what I want to do and that will still give me 6 months in the DEP program to try and receive a spot for my job. Fan making a knocking noise?

Hello I have a 2000 Ford Taurus and For about two weeks Ive noticed that when my car warms up a fan cuts on and its soo loud, it literally sounds like a rabbit gone bad, or a fish tail gone crazy. Dealing with Best Friend's Death?

My best friend whom I have known since I was 5 years old passed away at the age of 53 this week with melanoma cancer. The disease was found in the later stages and death was inevitable. For three years I watched as my friend's health slowly decline and it hurt because all I could do was stand by and watch. We went to the same grade school, high school, and we were both in the same college fraternity. My friend had many friends and was very popular. Although I have many friends, I had no truer and closer friend to me than him. No one, other than my wife, knew me better than him. I just completed my freshman year of undergrad and ended the year with a 2.8 gpa (and an even lower science gpa around 2.4/2.5). I got C+'s in both Gen Chem I and II and a C- in a Honors Biology course which I retook and still only ended up with a B-. I'm usually pretty good at Biology but messed up the class really bad. I'm taking the 2nd Biology class right now along with Physics and have a solid A in Physics and an A- in Biology which I'm hoping to pull up to an A. I plan on taking many science/math courses next year including Organic Chemistry, the next Physics Course, Microbiology, Genetics, and Statistics and will probably take some other science courses next summer. I'm also involved in undergraduate research, vice president of a club, and a volunteer at a local hospital. I also take ballet lessons and have a part time summer job. I know I reallyyy screwed up my freshman year but do I still have a chance? I'm making some good connections with undergraduate research and volunteering for future med school recommendation letters and I plan on taking a lot of biology courses as well as stuff like astronomy, botany, etc. to pull up my science gpa but my question is even if i manage to get a 3.5 science gpa would med schools decline me because of the C+'s I got in Gen Chem and the mistakes i made freshman year? What if I pulled off an A-/B+ in Ochem. Is med school out of the question? At about 1600 one of my buddies came out to the plane that I was working on and got me. I changed clothes and walked out of the Hangar for the last time after 21+ yrs and went and drank beer. Why are so many young men choosing to remain bachelor's and seem bitter at women and even mock men who marry?

I am a 35 year old Professional male attorney.I am happy in life,love my job and fiancee. I am getting married in December. It seems that a lot of my friends from college and at work who range in age from 25-45 are refusing to get married and seem bitter at women. On fellow coworker who is an Attorney as well stated to me that if I get divorced I will lose half my money and custody of children(I want kids). Many of my friends, who are considered handsome guys with money have absolutely stated they will not marry wahtsoever and some have given up on women completely. (A little background information first) - My boyfriend has a close friend that I've known for years. I actually knew him before I met my boyfriend from high school, but we didn't talk much. Zagg Shield & Otter Box?

I just got a 3gs and I also put a Zagg screen protector on it (Only for the screen). After waiting my allotted 24 hours, is it okay to put the otter case on? Is your filter working? When I had a fish tank I not only scrubbed abd rinsed the tank, but I rinsed the rocks and any of that decorative crap in there. Dust sometimes settles on top of the water if you don't have a lid or screen. I would suggest purified water. Also, in the future, after you replace the water make sure you put a few drops of de-chlorinating solution in there. That may have killed your fish. I also let the water settle and warm up before putting them back.

Okay the ph of my well water is 6.2 and the ph of my aquarium tank is above 7.6. It has blue gravel and two ornaments I haven't put anything to change the ph. Need to find a thick and durable case for HTC Droid Incredible?

I have an HTC Droid Incredible and I dropped my phone and cracked the screen twice now and we have replaced the screen on it both times. I am looking to buy a durable phone cover that will break the fall in case I accidentally drop my phone again. I DO NOT want an Otter Box, or a Body Glove. I would like to find something that is thick and made of some kind of rubber or silicone. Right now I have an Amzer cover in the phone right now and it is not very thick and I don't think it will protect my phone that much. I don't want hard plastic, I want something soft that will, as I said, break the fall incase I drop it again. Any ideas about where I could find something like that? Am i exercising too much??

My average day of exercising includes running a minimum of 3 miles, jump rope for 10 minutes, swimming the freestyle for 30 minutes and then 10 minutes of breaststroke and backstroke, Sometimes I even run an extra mile of 1/5 mile sprints. I then workout which goes on average punching the heavy bag for 5 rounds (15 min) with 1 min breaks, then preacher curls, pull ups, chin ups, push ups, bench press, butterfly press, shoulder press, butterflys, dips, barbell curls, hammer curls, sitting rows, shoulder shrugs, lat pull downs, dumbell rows, and dumbell raises- all of this is 3 sets of 12 and this is done every alternating day , on the days i am not doing this workout i do legs and stomach, I am not going to explain it all but it includes the 3 mile run, swim, and jump rope, leg extension, leg press, leg curls, sumo squats, captains chair, stationary bike, stair master, decline crunches leg raises, planks, ---- I do the first workout on monday, wednesday, and friday, and I do the second (legs and stomach) on tuesday, thursday, and saturday. Sunday is my only off day, so tell me if you think this is way too much or just okay?!?!?!?!

The thermostat actually cycles the flow to keep your engine cooler, not to keep it hot (as most people think) It does hold the cycle to reach operating temp. then it opens to keep it between 185 - 195 by using a slightly higher rated thermostat it will allow it to run at the right temp. My husband recently started working as a CNA in a nursing home. He was sent home early today, because there has been a false accusation made against him. How to care for my baby gecko?

i just bought a baby gecko from petco today. i have a 10g cage and a dish for water and a dish for mealworms. the lady gave me a heat lamp that is attached to the top of the cage with a 75watt bulb. she said that we needed sand so we bought gecko sand and lined the bottom of the cage with it. inside the cage we have a thermometer to make sure its getting the heat it needs. we were told to fead it about 5-10 mealworms and 1-3 crickets once a day. am i doning anything wrong and do i need anything else? alos they were out of little homes for it so for now we have a half of a plastic container that it can hide in. thanks :)

My Digital Thermostat has two cooling symbols showing up - they each look like a snowflake.?

The AC repair man came out two weeks ago and replaced the capacitor, the freon level was good and the temp check was at a cool 59 degrees. Before I forget, I have a Central AC unit with a digital thermostat. I live in sunny Florida so there are lots of warm days, and like I said above, the symbols showing up next to the word "cool" are two snowflakes, usually it is only one snowflake, as far as I can remember. It has taken two hours to go from 80 down to 79, with the sun going down and helping to cool things off. I have reset the Thermometer and then it seemed to cool down a little bit, but again the air coming out of the vents is not as cool as it normally is. Any advice?

Leopard gecko question?

i have a baby leopard gecko he is in a 20 gallon tank. i have an UTH that stays on 24 hrs/day and is supposed to be for a 15 or 10 gallon tank. the UTH is right below his warm hide where he usually stays. its below the tank and reptile carpet and its not actually in the tank (the people said to put it there and i read it needs to be 1/4" away from the gecko) is this warm enough? i also use a regular lamp and lightbulb that i use about 12 hrs during the day. i am going to get a thermometer. but if its not warm enough i really dont wanna go buy another UTH but could i get a red infarred heating lightbulb to raise the temperature a few degrees? if anything i feel as if the warm side is at most only a couple degrees cooler than it should be. so will the red bulb heat it up to where it needs to be? thanks!

I am a guy and Im in love with my female best friend, how can i tell her face to face that i love her?

We have been best friends for quite sometime, we used to do everything best friends do together, we would text all day and talk on the phone all night about everything that would go on in each others lives on a daily basis and follow the same pattern all the time. She is my joy and my happiness and without her in my life, i feel really empty. When i do go to college i think about her and no matter what im doing she is always on my mind. My stomach hurts bad, I don't know what to do?

So I woke up today feeling fine, and for lunch I had spaghetti from Buca De Pepo or yah, and an otter pop later, and like maybe 4 chocolate covered pomegranate pieces. Pretty soon after I ate the spaghetti my stomach started hurting. Not like cramps, but not like I'm going to throw up. It's been hurting all day and I told my mom and she said to take some IB Prophen and go to sleep. I took some medicine andim trying to fall asleep but my stomach hurts I can't fall asleep. Americans have declined in health on a steady scale since the advent of the television. Kids watch it more than playing outside, or they "sit" and play video games that might promote hand eye coordination, but nothing more. (I do think the Wii looks like a great idea, too pricey though). Adults have watched television in the evenings replacing sitting and talking or reading a good book. If you watch TV shows they are for the most part very unrealistic, and always have been. When I was growing up I really believed there were families like the Brady's. There had to be families that had no "real" problems, no struggles outside of will Marsha's nose keep her from going to the dance, and who didn't seem to have to even work to make ends meet. Maybe we have pushed so much of those lifestyles into our televisions and our homes that we think our families, as dysfunctional as they may be, are not normal. I believe dysfunction is normal. Causes for body temp of 95.5 F?

My older brother was recently bitten by ticks and as a result the area has become red and inflamed. He checked his temperature to see if he was running a fever, the thermometer said it was 97 degrees F. He normally runs in the 96.5 range so this for him was a slight fever. The next day (earlier tonight) he checked his temp again and found it had dropped down to 95.5 degrees F. My question is what could be causing the possible low body temp? Lyme disease would make him run a fever, which is the opposite. I'm guessing it could be stress, but am wondering if there are any other causes that he needs to be checking for. Why do people reject science when the consequences of doing so are so severe with respect to climate change?

I can't understand why Republicans and others in politics reject the work of science even after all the scientific community has done for us as a nation. The areas where this community has been correct are overwhelming. Is this really a socioeconomic question if those in charge listen to what is now considered a fact of the modern world. They risk change which may cost them power, money and validity which they can never recover from? Or is this a religious question and does this issue threaten the Davine right of man to dominate the earth as it says in the bible? Why if my air conditioner dial is set to 80, the air unit will not shut off until 75 degrees?

I live in an apt complex and it is an older thermometer for the central air. I have the unit set on Auto and on Cool, I slide the desired temperature to 80 degrees (and when the temperature reaches this it turns on the air unit) which will not shut off until 75 degrees, which can take a couple of hours? This does not seem right, I was under the impression that an air unit cools until the desired temperature of 80 is reached. Why is it going 5 degrees lower before shutting off, and why is it taking so long to turn off? Should I have it checked out, or do something different? Thank you.

I'm 16 by the way so I don't have a huge budget for paranormal stuff but I bought a pretty nice voice recorder from a pawn shop for 15 dollars and it works great but I tried some evp's at my house and I understand that my house might not hold any entities but I tried an old barn and a cemetary and can't get anything. Have you had this problem before now? what I would do first would be inspect the duct in the attic to be sure they are insulated and be sure none have been crushed I don't know if they are rigid or the flexible tube type. Also be sure you check your air filter and change if necessary. I'm sure you do.At night the a/c does cool more efficiently.also don't know the size area vs. size of pump or age of the pump you are using. I certainly am not a heating and air pro. but there are a few things you can check yourself. You may try closing a vent in a room or area not being used to help push more cool air where needed. worth taking a little time to look before having to have a service call. Can I estimate the heat output of a device from WATTS?

If I have say, a radio, that uses 60W, can I estimate the heat output? According to what I have read, you multiply WATTS by 3.41 to give BTU/hour. So 60W = 204.6 BTU. But this can't all be output as heat can it? An 60W radio doesn't generate the same heat as a 60W light bulb. So is there any way to estimate heat output from power figures - or do you have to physically test with thermometers etc?

How do I get rid of rivers otters?

We have a floating house (build on styrofoam) on a lake and a family of otters have moved in under us on the foam. They leave droppings all over the walkway and boat slip and leave dead fish on the styrofoam where we can't get to it. It is very stinky! They are chewing on the wood under the house and chewed through the water line. We tried trapping them on the bank but they didn't take the bait (dead fish, cat food). We tried critter ridder and put up a sonic pest repeller but that didn't work either. We would like to be humane in their removal but are getting to the point that any removal is needed. Any ideas?
